Bradley Dallas Schwenneker, 50, Princeton, MO, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at the University Of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa, from injuries sustained in a work-related accident.
He was born on July 28, 1970, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Dallas and Barbara (Arn) Schwenneker and grew up in Exira, Iowa, graduating with the Class of 1988.
Brad graduated from Iowa State University in December 1992 with a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology. He moved to north Missouri following graduation to work for Premium Standard Farms, now Smithfield.
On June 11, 1994, he married the love of his life, Kathy, in Moline, IL, and they began their life together raising two children, Emily Kathleen and Jacob Bradley.
Brad was an outdoorsman at heart, always finding time to go fishing, trapping, and hunting. He had a green thumb and loved plants and gardening. He looked forward to annual vacations in northern Wisconsin spending time with family and friends, fishing, and playing cards. Brad was a proud Cyclone, following athletics through thick and thin (particularly proud of his stint as a Student Manager for the Iowa State Football Team) and especially proud of his children following his legacy as Cyclones. Recently, Brad became Grandpa, a title he had been looking forward to having, and he took great joy in his granddaughter, Madeline.
Brad was a kind, hardworking man who would be willing to help out anyone who asked. He was a loving friend who held his friends close no matter the distance. Brad had a heart that gave and gave. He took pride in teaching the kids in his life about fishing. He will be missed because Brad had so much left to give.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Schwenneker, and his grandparents, Lawrence and Gladys Schwenneker, and Raymond and Leona Arn.
He was joined in heaven that day by his yellow lab of 13 years, Scout. This brings comfort to know they are together.
Brad is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kathleen (Neubauer) Schwenneker; daughter Emily Falk, son-in-law Darren, and granddaughter Madeline of Davenport, IA; son Jacob of Princeton; mother Barb (Ken Sparbel) of Davenport, IA; brother Travis (Heather) of Davenport, IA; father- and mother-in-law, Richard and Sally Neubauer of Rock Island, IL; sister-in-law Janet Lobo of Loves Park, IL; brothers-in-law Mike (Jen) Neubauer of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Tim (LeAnn) Neubauer of Monmouth, IL; nieces and nephews, Camille, Hannah, Abby, Lila, Peter, Cecilia, Katie, Teresa, Natalie, Nick, and Leo; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Trenton, MO, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO. A Rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4 at the Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, MO with a family visitation following where social distancing will be observed and masks are recommended.
