(Area) Roadways in southwest, northwest, and north-central Iowa are completely covered with snow and ice at this hour. We have received numerous reports of zero visibility from commuters traveling Highway 6 and 173, and traffic was at a standstill on Interstate 80 at around 6:35 a.m. this morning. Numerous schools are closing as well.
