(Atlantic) Atlantic Schools Superintendent Steve Barber reacts to the announcement this week of pre-k12 educators and administrators included in the Phase 1B Covid-19 vaccination plan is good news for school districts.
Earlier this week, Iowa’s infectious Disease Advisory Council provided recommendations to the Iowa Department of Public Health about Phase 1B prioritization for COVID-19 vaccination for childcare and K-12 teachers and staff.
Other agencies on the Phase 1B list include; law enforcement personnel, fire and hazmat response personnel, those living and working in correctional facilities, homeless shelters and migrant labor camps, food and agriculture workers, manufacturers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, mail carriers (USPS and private) and anyone age 65 or over.
