Nodaway Valley makes a big statement in the Pride of Iowa Conference which they now hold sole possession of first place in. Three scored in double figures for the unbeaten Wolverines…Maddax DeVault with 19, Lexi Shike 16, and Lindsey Davis 12.
Fremont-Mills 54, Griswold 24
The Tigers move to 2-7 on the season. Mikala Pelzer had a team high 13 points. She also hauled in 15 rebounds. Brenna Rossell led the team in steals with three.
Exira-EHK 59, CAM 57
The Spartans win the battle of top ten teams and stand alone atop the RVC standings. Quinn Grubbs scored 30 points for Exira-EHK which held off a late rally. Macy Emgarten had 12 points in the win. CAM trailed by as many as 18 late in the 3rd quarter. Eva Steffensen had 16 points and Meredith Rich scored 12 for the Cougars.
Audubon 60, Riverside 38
The Wheelers won for the third time in their last four outings. They roared out to a 22-7 first quarter lead. Aleah Hermansen went for 22 points. Jaci Christensen had 14 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. Sienna Albertsen hit three 3’s and scored ten points.
ACGC 49, Interstate-35 20
The Chargers improve to 5-3 on the year. They allowed no points in the first quarter and only two points in the third quarter. Alaina Bunde and Mersadez Richter each scored ten points with Saige O’Brien contributing nine.
Harlan 52, Lewis Central 30
Claire Schmitz had a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Brecken Van Baale scored 11 points.
Boys
Exira-EHK 7o, CAM 61 (OT)
Trey Petersen hit a deep two point shot to force overtime and the Spartans got the job done in the extra session. Trey Petersen scored 22 points and Tyler Petersen had 16. The duo combined to go 15/19 from the free throw line in the 2nd half. Trey hit his final nine attempts of the game. Easton Nelson added 13 points. Colby Rich had a career night for CAM with 31 points. Connor McKee scored 12.
Lewis Central 46, Harlan 41
Will McLaughlin scored 12 points in the loss. Connor Frame joined him in double figures with ten.
Riverside 48, Audubon 38
Brogan Allensworth had 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals. He made 7/8 free throws. Grady Jeppesen added 15 points while Drake Woods scored 10.
Glenwood 56, Atlantic 48
Craig Alan Becker posted a season best 18 points for Atlantic and Dayton Templeton added 13. Atlantic led by as many as eight points in the first half. Ryan Blum led the Rams with 21 points and Ben Hughes scored 10. Hughes made 6/6 free throws down the stretch.
ACGC 72, Interstate-35 56
Miles Kading went 7/9 from the field and 4/6 beyond the arc to score 19 points. Lucas Marsh had 15 points and 14 rebounds. Eli Kading scored 13, Ben Marsh 12, and Charlie Crawford 10. It’s the third time this season that all five starters have scored in double figures.
Mount Ayr 65, Nodaway Valley 53
Toby Bower had 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, four steals, and three blocks. Mason Menefee and Boston DeVault each scored 13 points with Avery Phillippi adding 10.
