(Eddyville) Atlantic/CAM went 4-0 and captured the team title at the Lettington Family Dual Wrestling Tournament at Eddyville on Saturday.
The Trojans defeated Centerville, 72-6, topped Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, 60-15, downed Camanche, 54-25, and defeated Waukee, 59-24.
The Trojans won 13 of the 14 matches in the dual over Centerville. Payton Fewson, (182), Brenden Casey,(195), Devin McKay, (220), Brian South, (145), Tanner O’Brien, (152), Jarrett Armstrong, (160), and Kadin Stutzman, (170), all won by falls. The balance of the matches won by forfeit.
Against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont; Armstrong, Stutzman, Ethan Follman, (120), Weaver, Jaxson Bell, (132), South, (145), and Tanner O-Brien won by falls. Three other matches were won by Forfeit.
In the Camanche dual, the Trojans picked up falls from; Follman, Weaver, Bell, Armstrong, and Stutzman. The Trojans won the four other matches by forfeit.
In the win over Waukee, the Trojans recorded eight pins and one technical fall. Cruz Weaver (113) won by tech fall, and McKay, Clevi Johnson (106), Follman, Joe Weaver, Bell, South, Stutzman, and Fewson each posted pins for Atlantic/CAM.
The Trojans wrestling Tuesday at Woodbine, Thursday host a double-dual at CAM High School, and host the Rollin Dyer Tournament on Saturday.
