(Des Moines) There is potential for moderate to heavy snow over the northern half of Iowa this week.
The National Weather Service says some light freezing rain or a wintry mix is possible at times as well. The best chance for freezing rain is in the southern half of the state.
Forecasters say the amount of precipitation is still uncertain due to track and temperature questions. However, travel impacts are likely.
