(Griswold) Griswold shared Superintendent Dave Henrichs says the district made positive steps financially this past year.
Henrichs says in respect to the district’s spending authority, from the end of fiscal year 2019-to-the end of the fiscal year 2020, the district showed an increase of just under $300,000. The district’s solvency ratio also increased from 12.48 percent to 20.887 percent, showing an eight-percent increase. “Financially, we’re heading in the right direction,” stated Henrichs.
In other business; The Griswold School District is one of 12 schools in Iowa to receive a STEM grant. Henrichs says the money will help bolster the school’s communication arts program. He says the district does a lot of live streaming, so they were fortunate to receive it.
