(Mills County) One person was killed, and another suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Mills County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 5:25 p.m. on Friday in the eastbound lanes of Highway 34 near the 15-mile marker. Johny Ford, of Maryville, Missouri, died in the crash. Anthony Vasquez of Malvern suffered critical injuries in the accident.
According to the report, Johny Ford was driving an eastbound 2018 Ford Prius, crossed the centerline, and collided head-on with a westbound 2008 Ford Infinity, driven by Vasquez.
Ford was pronounced dead at the scene. LifeNet Helicopter transported Vasquez to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
