(Shenandoah) Carina Birkel’s 2nd place finish led the Atlantic girls while Grace Britten was a runner-up for Nodaway Valley in Shenandoah on Saturday. The Trojans and Wolverines each had three wrestlers that saw matches.
For Atlantic, Birkel was in the 126-132 bracket where she had a first round bye, lost by fall in round two, and won by decision in the 3rd round. Quincy Sorensen (106-120) and Brianna Wilson (145) each placed 4th.
Nodaway Valley’s Grace Britten (160-195) had a bye in the first round, won by fall in the second round, and lost by fall in the third round. Erin Rhoads (126-132) and Rose Lonsdale (145) each placed 3rd.
