Riverside’s Vlcek selected for Shrine Bowl

(Oakland) Riverside senior Eddie Vlcek will be on the South Roster for the 2021 Shrine Bowl.

Vlcek is a two-time all-state selection for the Bulldogs. He excelled on the offensive and defensive line. As a senior he posted 52 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. Vlcek is one of five defensive linemen selected for the team.

Past Shrine Bowl participants in program history are Jason Frain (2010), Todd Plagman (2003), and Shane Konfrst (1996).
