(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors approved an extended shared Engineer Agreement with Union County at their meeting Wednesday.
The agreement between Adair County and Union County is for the purpose of compensating the Adair County Engineer for services provided to Union County.
“The terms of the agreement for the Adair County Engineer to act as Interim Union County Engineer will be a rate of $77 per hour for services rendered and 45-cents per mile for miles traveled to provide those services. Services requested of the Adair County Engineer by Union County will be performed during regular business hours with time and mileage being clocked from the time the Adair County Engineer leaves his office and lasting until he returns to his office,” explained Supervisors Chairman John Twombly.
This agreement will not exceed 90 days and that would be 90 days from the 7th of December.
In other news, the Supervisors approved a Jail Administrator position. Sheriff Jeff Vandewater said he had two certified officers apply for the position and one of the individuals had the qualifications to hold a management level position.
