Cooney wins twice and DeVault once in Nodaway Valley wrestling opener

(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley got their 2020-21 wrestling season underway with losses to Creston/O-M 72-9 and Winterset 75-3.

Against the Panthers Elliot Cooney won by fall in 1:32 at 120 pounds vs. Gavin Bolton. Caelen DeVault notched a 3-0 decision over Briley Hayes at 170.

Against the Huskies it was Elliot Cooney with a decision victory at 120. Cooney topped Zeke Hoven 5-0.

Nodaway Valley filled just five of the fourteen weight classes.
