Lola Johanna Marjorie Linton, daughter of Roy and Ruth (Blakely) Linton was born February 27, 1965 in Harlan, Iowa. She attended Harlan Community High School, where she graduated with the class of 1983. In high school, Lola participated in many activities including Special Olympics, where she excelled in swimming which became a pastime Lola immensely enjoyed.
Lola enjoyed life and transferred that joy to others. She loved to make crafts, scrapbook and color. She loved to dance and sing and roller skate. She especially loved her family and holiday get-togethers. Lola lived a full life and was helped along the way by so many care givers at Concerned, Crossroads of Missouri Valley, Iowa and at Elm Crest.
Lola died on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Elm Crest, attaining the age of fifty-five years, nine months, and one day. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Ruth Linton, and brother Roy Linton II.
Private Family Funeral Services for 55 year old Lola Linton of Harlan will be Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 AM at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. Visitation will be Friday, December 4th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Harlan Cemetery. The Pauley Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her sister, Ruthie (Bobby) Schaben of Harlan, IA; brothers John (Peggy) Linton of Ft. Calhoun, NE; Mike (Marcia) Linton of Plymouth, MN; many nieces and nephews.
