(Red Oak) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors intends to make an appointment next week to fill the vacancy in the Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office.
Three candidates are being considered for the position. They are; Jackie Porter, Teresa Regan, and Tyler Shearer.
The Board of Supervisors will conduct interviews with the eligible candidates on November 30, at 5:30 p.m. in the courthouse’s courtroom. The meeting will be open to the public and by Zoom.
The appointment is scheduled for December 1, at 8:30 a.m. in the basement meeting room of the Montgomery County Courthouse in Red Oak.
The appointment will be valid until January 1, 2023. Montgomery County citizens may request a special meeting to fill the vacancy by filing a petition with the Montgomery County Auditor containing 397 signatures of eligible electors within 14 days after the appointment is made.
