Private Family Graveside Services for 78 year old Linda Holst of Walnut will be Saturday, November 21st at 11:00 AM at the Layton Township Cemetery in Walnut. Public Visitation will be Friday, November 20th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca. The Pauley Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Linda Kay Holst, only daughter born to Alvie and Lois (Killion) Chipman, on July 6, 1942 in Oakland, Iowa. She attended country school and graduated from Avoca High School in 1960. Linda married Robert Holst on November 25, 1960. To this union two daughters were born: Lori and Lisa.
The two of them have lived and farmed for almost 60 years east of Walnut. Linda loved gardening and planting flowers. They loved to dance together. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Cass County Memorial Hospital having attained the age of seventy-eight years, four months and twelve days. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvie and Lois Chipman.
Left to keep her memory alive are her husband of sixty years Robert Holst of Walnut, Iowa; daughters Lori (Andy) Blum of Marne, Iowa; Lisa (Jim) Wissler of Wall Lake, Iowa; grandchildren Holli (Eric) Woodword; Steven (Amber) Blum; Scott (Jenni) Blum; Joel Wissler; Justin (Jennifer) Wissler; Jared Wissler (fiancé Shelby Bryant); great grandchildren Jackson and Lexi Woodword; Carter and Harper Blum; Robbie Blum; Bennett and Madisyn Wissler; brother Ron Chipman of Harlan, Iowa; other family and many friends.
