(Pottawattamie Co.) One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Pottawattamie County this (Wednesday) morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says 72-year-old Lorene Clark, of Pisgah, was driving a 2018 Ford F150 southbound on I-29 at approximately 6:57 a.m. For unknown reasons, Clark drove into the west ditch where the vehicle struck the 65 mile marker sign and then a tree in the ditch. The Ford F150 caught fire and became fully engulfed. Lorene Clark was assisted out of the vehicle by a passing motorist prior to law enforcement arrival. The fire was extinguished by Crescent Fire Department.
Lorene Clark was transported to UNMC by Crescent Rescue.
