(Atlantic) The Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign in Cass County kicks off Saturday, November 28th.
Atlantic Police Chief Dave Erickson said the campaign will be a little different this year. He said there will not be any bell ringers at Walmart.
“It has already started out there. If you purchase something and it comes to some odd change they will ask you if you want to round up and all of that money is going to go to Salvation Army for help around here in Cass County. The only bell ringing we’ll be doing is at Hy-Vee and Fareway. Some of the local churches have paired up with Salvation Army to help me out getting all of that stuff taken care of because there is a big need for it right now. We’ve got a lot of families that are needing more food at the Food Pantry and so every little bit we raise helps out and it stays here,” said Chief Erickson. “Cass County is very generous and I love this place, people take care of their own around here. Everyone have a safe holiday.”
Bell ringing will take place at Fareway and Hy-Vee on Saturday, November 28; Saturday, December 5th; Saturday, December 12th; and Saturday, December 19th.
