(Des Moines) A Wind Advisory is in effect until 3:00 p.m. today for much of Iowa, including Cass, Adams, Guthrie, Union, and Taylor counties in southwest Iowa.
Forecasters say northwest winds of 20-to-39 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected.
The gusty winds could cause difficult travel conditions for high profile vehicles, blow around unsecured objects, and small tree limbs could be blown down.
