(Guthrie Center) A new nurse and intern have been hired in Guthrie County by the Health Services Director to help with Covid mitigation.
Health Services Director Jotham Arber presented payroll change notices for Sarah Hart and Morgan Sheeder to the Board of Supervisors during their meeting on Tuesday. County Auditor Dani Fink says Arber also shared details about a new source of funding for public health. “He also discussed money that public health will be receiving for an emergency preparedness coalition. It’s basically just money that they’ll be getting to prepare for an action plan leading into once the vaccine will roll out for Covid.”
Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson gave a department update with some of the latest information on the law enforcement addition. Thompson has been given the go ahead to hire for a full-time janitor/maintenance position.
Fink says Guthrie County Conservation Brad Halterman gave a department update which included some of the recent additions and upgrades on a Lennon Mills Park.
