(Guthrie Center) Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird presented the Board of Supervisors with lease agreements for District Court at their meeting last week.
Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink said the lease agreements are for District Court use of the Baptist Church in Guthrie Center and the event center at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds.
“They decided to do that just to have more room for jury selection for any jury trials that might be coming up; so far they have all been settled at the last minute so they haven’t gone to court. But, that’s just for COVID and social distancing purposes,” explained Fink.
In other news, the Supervisors approved the hiring of Pierre Kellog as a part-time dispatcher.
