(Walnut) The Walnut City Council approved an ordinance amending provisions pertaining to collection of solid waste collection fees at their meeting Thursday evening.
Walnut City Clerk Shannon Wood said, “The landfill fees have gone up so our contractor asked if he could up it 50-cents per household a month.”
In other news, the City is looking at joining a project with Ramsey’s Market in Lenox.
“They do refrigerated grocery lockers and since we do not have a grocery store we are discussing getting some of those lockers from him and they deliver to the lockers daily, seven days a week,” explained Wood.
