(Des Moines) State District 20 Representative Ray “Bubba” Sorensen earns a second term in the Iowa legislature. The Greenfield Republican received 10,817 votes, to Democratic challenger Ryan Morrison’s, 4,153.
Sorensen II won the 2018 election to fill the vacancy for retiring Republican Clel Baudler, who held the seat for over 20-years.

His goal is to finish the tour this year. He grew up patriotic and always had a soft spot for the nation’s veterans. His inspiration came from the Movie “Saving Private Ryan.”
