(Greenfield) Incumbent Republican Adair County District 5 Supervisor John A. Twombly regained his seat on the board in a race against challenger Democrat Thaddeus Hawley. Twombly earned 526 votes to Hawley’s 276; Twombly will be serving his fourth term on the board.
All county office races were uncontested. Incumbent County Auditor Mandy Berg received 3,735 votes, Incumbent County Sheriff Jeffrey Vandewater, 3,772, and Incumbent County Attorney Melissa S. Larson received 3,046 votes. District 1 Incumbent Supervisor Matt Wedemyer garnered 751 votes.
Three candidates ran unopposed for the three seats on the County Soil and Water Conservation District. Daryl Nelson received 2,736 votes, Randy Caviness, 2,706 votes, and James Fredrick, 2,505.
Four candidates ran unopposed for County Agricultural Extension Council. Matt Mensing, 2,669, Trent Raasch, 2,550, Karen Schulties, 2,502, and Jessica Christensen, 2,404.
