(Shenandoah) A Shenandoah man was injured in a motorcycle vs deer accident this morning.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office says the accident occurred in the 2500 block of C Avenue, approximately four miles southeast of Shenandoah, at around 5:33 a.m. 61-year-old David Henry Jackson was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on C Avenue when a deer ran into the roadway. Jackson struck the deer and the motorcycle slid into the east shoulder/ditch.
Jackson was transported to the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital by Shenandoah Ambulance service with undisclosed injuries.
Jackson’s motorcycle sustained an estimated $6,500 in damage.
