(Montgomery Co.) The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors will swear in a Supervisor for District 1 and discuss a resignation and a retirement at their meeting this morning.
The Board will swear in Charla Schmid as District 1 Supervisor. Schmid was appointed to the position on October 21st after interviews were conducted with four candidates that included Steven Berendes, Steven Masters, Troy Preston, and Charla Schmid. The District 1 Supervisor seat became vacant following the death of Rudy Kinard.
Other items on the agenda include accepting the resignation of Tera Hughes, Montgomery County Treasurer, effective November 6th. The Board will discuss options to fill the vacancy and action as necessary.
The Supervisors will also discuss Sheriff Jo Sampson’s retirement and action as necessary.
