(Atlantic) A community vigil will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. for Steele McLaren, who suffered a serious head injury in an accident on Sunday afternoon. Steele is currently hospitalized at UNMC in Omaha.
The vigil will be held at the Trojan Bowl, and everyone is invited to bring their phone to light a prayer for Steele and his family. Flowers, cards, or balloons are also welcome. A donation box will be available with the proceeds going into account for the family at Rolling Hills Bank and Trust.
Attendees are reminded to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
In addition to the prayer vigil, the CAM Small Business Class is selling decals to benefit Steele McLaren’s family. The decals are $5 each, and the proceeds will go to the family for each sticker purchased. Decals can be ordered by emailing smiller@cam.k12.ia.us.
In addition to that, Udderly Delicious in Atlantic will be grilling hamburgers and serving chips from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, October 31, with your free-will donation benefiting the McLaren family.
