(Atlantic) The Iowa Department of Public Health today shows Cass County with a 21.5 percent positivity rate for COVID-19.
School systems above the 15-percent positivity rate have the option to send their student home and begin online, learning. Cass County reached 390 as of 1:45 p.m. on Monday.
Some of the increased outbreak of COVID-19 in the county can be attributed to 53 COVID-19 positive tests at the Atlantic Specialty Care. Seven have recovered. Cass County experienced one more death over the weekend bringing the total to three deaths since the outbreak began.
Sixteen other counties also have positivity rates over 15-percent.
