(Des Moines) A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1:00 a.m. on Monday for all of northwest Iowa. Also included in the Advisory are the southwest and west-central Iowa counties of; Mills, Pottawattamie, Harrison, Shelby, Audubon, Guthrie, Carroll, and Crawford.
The National Weather Service says light snow will spread into western and northern Iowa this morning with light to moderate accumulations. The snow is expected to persist into tonight across central Iowa with additional light accumulations. Much of the precipitation will come to an end by Midday on Monday as the system departs.
Forecasters predict total snow accumulation of 2-4 inches and north winds gusting over 20 miles per hour, reducing visibility at times.
