(Shelby) Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Pottawattamie County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 10:09 p.m. Thursday on eastbound Interstate 80 near the 34-mile marker. Authorities say identified the two persons injured in the accident as 55-year old Brian Edward Colvin, Oakland, Iowa, and 39-year old Brandy Faye Fidler of Council Bluffs.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, an eastbound 2004 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Colvin struck the rear of an eastbound 2014 Freightliner semi-trailer driven by Jagjit Singh Randhawa, of Brooklyn, New York. Both vehicles came to rest on the eastbound shoulder.
Shelby Rescue transported Colvin to Jenny Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs and Fidler to Myrtue Medical in Harlan.
