(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board is gathering for a special meeting on Thursday morning to take action on the district guidelines for the use of face masks.
In August, the School Board voted unanimously for the face mask policy: Social Distancing will be the main priority for district buildings. Face coverings are encouraged to be worn for students and staff in grades Pre- K-through-5th grade and expected to be worn for students and staff in grades 6-through-12th grade when social distancing cannot be obtained. Masks or face shields will be provided to individuals who request them. Reusable masks should be washed regularly for individuals wearing them.
The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. at the High School Media Center.
