(Griswold) The Griswold School Board voted unanimously to activate the status of the Early Retirement Policy at Monday’s meeting. Griswold Schools Superintendent David Henrichs said the School Board reviews the policy each year to decide whether to activate or deactivate it.
“The program allows for up to five certified staff members to take advantage of the early retirement package on a first come first serve basis,” explained Henrichs. “The program pays $6,000 over a three-year period for a total of $18,000.”
In other news at Monday’s meeting, the district’s certified enrollment dropped 5.3 students, and beds enrollment which counts towards state funding dollars dropped 15.9 students.
The Board also approved a $25.00 per hour stipend to staff members for Video streaming compensation.
