(Greenfield) A Cass County man died in a two-vehicle accident in Adair County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 4:50 p.m. on Fontanelle Road south of 270th Street. Authorities say 59-year old David Passehl of Anita was killed in the crash. Phillip Lundy, 66, of Orient, was injured.
According to the report, a northbound 1997 Ford F250 driven by David Passehl for unknown reasons crossed the centerline into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a 1998 Volvo VN driven by Lundy. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway. Greenfield Rescue transported Lundy to the Greenfield Hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash.
