(Clarinda) A Page County man faces multiple charges following a vehicle pursuit on Sunday evening.
Clarinda Police Chief Keith Brothers said Officers arrested 51-year old Steven William Wells, of College Springs, for driving a vehicle while barred, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony eluding of a police vehicle, resisting arrest, and multiple traffic offenses. Wells is currently being held in the Page County Jail on a $10,000 bond, pending a court appearance.
Officers attempted to stop a black Chevrolet pick-up truck at 16th & Clark for an equipment violation. Wells failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued, proceeding through residential areas at speeds of more than 60-miles per hour. Wells fled the vehicle on foot at 18th & Grant. Officers apprehended Well’s following a short pursuit on foot.
