(Denison) Glenwood took home the boy’s team title from the Hawkeye Ten Conference Cross Country meet in Denison on Thursday. The Rams were led by freshman Andrew Smith with a 6th place run.
Three other Glenwood runners finished in the top fifteen as they scored 63 points for the team title. Lewis Central (70) and Atlantic (77) finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Atlantic’s Craig Alan Becker won the individual championship in a time of 16:25. The runner-up was Harlan’s Trey Gross in 16:32.
Atlantic’s Craig Alan Becker was joined in the top ten by teammate Zane Berg in 9th. The Trojans also counted Drew Engler (14th), Ethan Williams (16th), and Tyrell Williams (41st) towards the team total. Additional Varsity runners for Atlantic were Bennett Whetstone in 51st and Devin Wood in 58th.
Harlan placed 4th as a team. Trey Gross was 2nd for the Cyclones, Ian Shelton 20th, Mitchell Rueschenberg 21st, Brennon Munch 37th, Kaiden Milliken 46th, Reed Boardman 48th, and Joseph Bragg 53rd.
