(Audubon) The first reading of an ordinance changing utility rates and billing structure was passed Monday by the Audubon City Council.
New water meters have been put in throughout town and billing will soon go away from its quarterly structure. “I think that’s being pretty well received. We’ve had a couple of people want to stay at quarterly billing, but for the most part the comments are asking when are we going to get to monthly billing. Hopefully we’ll be ready to do that at the first part of next year.”
That’s Audubon Mayor Barb Jacobsen. The Council approved Blake Miller as a new Assistant City Attorney. “Sarah Jennings has resigned so Blake has taken that spot for us.”
Jacobsen says a new handicap parking space is being added in front of the library this week. It will be located on the corner of North Park Place.
