(Carroll) Four people were arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in Carroll Tuesday evening.
The Carroll Police Department says at 11:57 p.m., the Carroll Communications Center received multiple calls of a subject that was shot in front of 512 E 18th Street. The callers reported three guns shots and a victim of a gunshot wound. Officers arrived at 11:59 p.m. and immediately had four subjects in custody. The scene was rendered safe, officers began medical aid and the Carroll County Ambulance was brought onto the scene to assist.
The victim, a 31-year-old male from Ames, was taken to St. Anthony Regional Hospital with gunshot wounds to his lower extremity. He was then transported to Mercy One Des Moines Trauma Care for further treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Two search warrants were conducted, one at 512 E 18th Street and the other at 506 E 18th Street. During the search, a firearm, suspected narcotics and ammunition was collected. Further charges are pending evaluation of the evidence and results from the Iowa Department of Public Safety Criminalistics Laboratory.
Triesha Jones, 31, of Carroll, was arrested for assault. Kamille Garnett, 30, of Carroll, was arrested for child endangerment and disorderly conduct. Glennisha Myers, 27, of Carroll, was arrested for assault. Cliff Urban, 31, of Hammond, Indiana, was arrested on a federal warrant for making a false statement in the acquisition of a firearm.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
