(Greenfield) Nodaway Valley secured the Pride of Iowa Conference Girls Cross Country Championship with a win on Tuesday in Bedford. The Wolverines posted a winning score of 46 points to top Mount Ayr in a tight team race.
Sophia Broers led the way with her individual title. Broers finished the course in 20:53. Lily Day stepped up with a 3rd place run. Also counting towards the team score were Annika Nelson in 13th, Erin Ford 17th, and Hope Kading 20th.
For both Broers and the team it is the 2nd straight year winning the conference. This was Nodaway Valley’s 14th Pride of Iowa Conference Girls Cross Country win since 1997. The meet was held at the Lake of Three Fires.
