(Atlantic) The Friends of the Atlantic Public Library are holding a book sale next week.
Ken Moorman said the book sale will be held October 21, 22 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“We really have a huge, huge collection of books,” said Moorman. “We didn’t have the book sale in the spring because of COVID, so the Library Director Michelle said we have more than we’ve ever had. One time I counted a year ago we had around 4,000 adult books to sell and that’s a lot of books to select from.”
Moorman would like everyone to know that the Atlantic Public Library does require a face mask to be worn at all times, you must practice social distancing, and they will only allow eight people in the buying area at a time.
Moorman said they have a lot of dedicated volunteers who help raise money for the Library.
“The Library uses that for all of their children’s programming, adult programming, it helps pay for the shred day that we have each spring,” said Moorman. “There’s money that is needed, because of COVID the Library is lacking money coming in, so we hope that people will support it and we’re going to try and keep everybody safe, that’s the big thing.”
Moorman also noted that people can donate books to the library any time before the sale.
