(Missouri Valley) Treynor’s Cole Dooley broke away from the field early on his way to a Western Iowa Conference Boys Individual Cross Country Championship. Dooley clocked a winning time of 17:42. Meanwhile the Missouri Valley boys defended their home course to win team honors.
The Big Reds held off IKM-Manning by five points and were nine in front of Underwood. Cody Gilpin led Missouri Valley in 3rd place and Brek Boruff ran 6th.
IKM-Manning’s 2nd place finish included a 4th place run from Quentin Dreyer. Connor Keller and Caden Keller finished 12th and 13th, respectively for the Wolves.
Gable Porter was the individual runner-up for Underwood. The Eagles had all five of their scoring runners in the top 25.
Ben Schroder’s 7th place run represented Riverside’s best finish. The Bulldogs had Mason McCready 25th, Eric Duhachek 26th, Brant Spies 28th, and Dalton Smith 44th.
Audubon had Jackson Deist run 23rd and Ely Deist 48th.
AHSTW’s top finisher was Caleb Hatch in 34th.
