(Missouri Valley) The Western Iowa Conference Cross Country meet was held Monday afternoon. Missouri Valley hosted the competition at the Logan-Missouri Valley Country Club.
Logan Magnolia came away with a girls team championship by two points over AHSTW. The Panthers had individual runner-up Courtney Sporrer along with three others in the top fifteen. Mya Moss was the 2nd runner in for Lo-Ma with her 8th place run.
AHSTW was led by three seniors repeating as top ten finishers in the conference. Julia Kock ran 5th, Chloe Falkena 6th, and Holly Hoepner 10th. Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Vikes were Kailey Jones in 16th and Jade Draman in 23rd.
Individual champion Peyton Pogge spearheaded Tri-Center’s 3rd place team finish. The senior claimed top honors in the WIC for a third straight year.
Underwood freshman Georgia Paulson ran 4th and helped Underwood finish 4th as a team. Teammate Jordyn Reimer (13th) joined her in the top 15.
Audubon’s 5th place team finish included strong performances from Grace Slater and Hannah Thygesen. Slater ran 7th and Thygesen was 11th. Katelyn Nielsen placed 26th for the Wheelers with Jordan Porsch 36th and Chloe Andersen 42nd.
Riverside didn’t have a team score. The Lady Dawgs had Becca Cody finish 20th, Stormy Noble 24th, and Cailee Manzer 31st.
