(Dunlap) Exira-EHK finished three points ahead of Boyer Valley and four points ahead of CAM to win a conference championship in girls cross country. The Rolling Valley meet was held Thursday at Boyer Valley. Winning a tight one is nothing new for Exira-EHK…last year they won the Rolling Valley by one point over CAM.
The Spartans put three runners in the top ten to defend their 2019 team title. Camryn Paulsen led the way in 3rd, Ella Petersen was 6th, and Quinn Grubbs 8th. Other scoring runners were Kate Hansen in 11th and Tatum Grubbs in 16th. Three other were in the top 25 for the victors as Macy Emgarten ran 18th, Haley Harris 20th, and Justice Doherty 24th.
Team runner-up Boyer Valley produced the top two individuals in the form of Kylie Petersen and Abby Mandel.
CAM’s Mia South placed 4th, Whitney Holaday was 7th, and Emily Plagman was 9th to help the Cougars place 3rd in the team scoring. CAM also had Cadence Stephenson 13th and Abby Tibken 15th.
Woodbine finished 4th as a team with Kylie Neligh leading the way in 10th.
