Panorama tops Van Meter in strong girls field at Nodaway Valley

(Greenfield) Ella Waddle helped lead Panorama to the team championship at Nodaway Valley with her individual win on Monday.

The Panthers backed up Waddle by putting two more runners in the top ten. They scored 55 points and held of Van Meter (65), which had the 2nd and 3rd place finishers with Clare Kelly and Mary Kelly.

Nodaway Valley (115) placed 3rd as a team led by a 5th place individual run from Sophia Broers. The Wolverines also had Lily Day 17th, Annika Nelson 30th, Erin Ford 37th, and Abby Engels 49th.

Mount Ayr (128) and Tri-Center (137) rounded out the top five teams.

AHSTW made their return after missing a couple of weeks and placed 7th. The Lady Vikes were missing some of their typical varsity runners and scored 162 points. Julia Kock ran 6th and Chloe Falkena was 9th. Running 31st was Jade Draman, Martha Pace finished 77th, Abbie Willett 81st, and Azzie Welsh 90th.
