(Glenwood) The Mills County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car vs bicycle accident Sunday afternoon.
According to the report, 28-year-old Samantha Garbez, of Glenwood, was driving a 2010 GMC Acadia south on Elm Street and while passing Second Street a juvenile on an orange bicycle came down Second Street, entering Elm Street, and collided with the GMC Acadia. The juvenile was thrown from the bicycle into the grass.
Garbez said she saw the bicycle pull out in front of her and she tried to stop. The juvenile admitted to hitting the car. A witness also stated that the bicycle came very fast down the hill and struck the car.
The 7-year-old male sustained injuries to his left leg and torso. He was checked by EMS and released per his parent.
