(Des Moines) The National Weather Service says areas of dense fog developed early this morning across Southwest Iowa. The fog will continue through sunrise before gradually lifting through mid-morning.
Forecasters advise motorists to expect visibilities to be below one-half mile with local areas below one-quarter of a mile.
Motorists encountering the dense fog are advised to slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination.
