(Atlantic) Pavement patching and repairs on Iowa 83 at East Second and Poplar streets in Atlantic will require temporary daytime lane closures beginning on Monday, October 5, until Monday, October 12, weather permitting.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says traffic will be maintained with flaggers during this project.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
