(Atlantic) In an effort to continue cleaning up Atlantic and create a safe, healthy community, the Atlantic Police Department will be working in conjunction with Atlantic Code Enforcement Officers in locating and eradicating nuisances.
These nuisances can include dilapidated buildings, compounding trash piles, un-mowed grass, junk vehicles, improperly parked vehicles and more. Officers may be seen in residential areas viewing these nuisances. These nuisances will be addressed by either Atlantic Police Officers or Atlantic Code Enforcement Officers.
Residents are asked to take a moment to survey your property and check for items that may be of concern. Officers investigating potential violations will give ample notice through abatement procedures of what the concern is, how to resolve it and by when to have it resolved. Officers may write municipal infraction citations if the owners continue to disregard the opportunities to fix any abatable issues.
If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Atlantic Police Department at 712-243-3512.
