(Lewis) Cass County Conservation is looking for people, groups, or organizations to sign up for a site in the Cold Springs Park campground to decorate with non-scary Halloween decorations.
You will get Saturday night (Oct. 24) camping for free if you choose to camp. You do not have to have a camper. Cass County Conservation has seen some great sites done with tents and easy-ups. Call the Cass County Conservation Office to get involved at 712-769-2372.
Prizes will be for the top three voted sites, and for some special categories. Deadline for decorating a site sign up is October 16th and the groups will have Saturday, October 24th from Noon on to decorate.
The 6th Biennial Lighted Halloween Campground is a free, family friendly event that will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Cold Springs Park in Lewis.
The event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.
