(Creston) A head-on collision between a car and a semi claimed the life of a Union County man near Creston.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 11:52 p.m. on Wednesday on Highway 34, one mile west of Creston. The Iowa State Patrol says 25-year old Todd M. Murray died in the crash.
According to the report, and eastbound 2005 Chevy Impala, driven by Murray crossed the centerline and entered the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a westbound 2021 Kenworth semi driven by 42-year old William J. Caraway, of Bondurant. Both the car and semi came to rest in the ditch.
Powers Funeral Home transported Todd M. Murry to the State Medical Examiner.
