(Audubon) The Audubon School Board approved construction contracts for their renovation project at Monday’s meeting.
Audubon Superintendent Eric Trager said they are moving along with the design and the project will go out to bid in November. Trager said they are really working hard to be nimble on bid day.
Trager said the other side of being nimble on bid day is making sure that you have resources in place that you can award bids shortly after bid day, so they are also working on refinancing a current sales tax bond. He said that will save them some interest costs on the bond they did in 2013. Trager said with that, they are trying to have the option to do some additional borrowing on that sales tax money.
Trager said they will have a public hearing on that at their October regular meeting.
