(Audubon) The City of Audubon is obtaining grant money for both a sidewalk project and home improvements.
The City of Audubon and Region XII are working together on a grant to fix up the exterior of homes. “We have been awarded a grant for about six homes in town to fix up their exteriors and that is just approving a contract for Region XII to help administer that grant.”
City Clerk Joe Foran says there’s also a $70,000 IDOT TAP Grant that they’ve passed a resolution for. “That has to do with the Vision Iowa receiving some Iowa DOT funds for putting in a sidewalk connecting the school to the rec center.”
Elsewhere, a committee is being set up for Albert the Bull improvements. “100+ Women donated around $10,000 for repairs to him. They wanted to get a committee together to obtain bids and estimates and in general help to figure out what needs to be done to get some repairs done and how to go about that.”
The council has approved both a change order and a pay application for their wastewater improvement project.
